The tide was about a couple of hours from low tide, and with a bit of South in the wind I beat along the cob. Wind was swinging a bit but fairly contant and I was well powered on 6m which I flattened after while. There was quite a bit of short, low chop which I guess was to do with level of the water and flows around the sandbanks. Blasted back and forwards and only really fell in on one gybe, though a few were a bit close. That's good for me. It was hard to build up speed due to the short chop but great fun. Amazingly, I was only one out and very few yachts along the Menai Straits. I sailed for a little unde 1 1/2 hours.
22.8knots over 500 metred
